National Memorial Arboretum

Sited in the National Forest, near Lichfield, Staffordshire, it is living tribute to the wartime generations of the twentieth-century and includes the Shot at Dawn Memorial. In November 2003, the administration of the NMA was taken over by the Ministry of Defence and Royal British Legion.

Battle for Justice

Campaign website for those seeking justice for Flight-Lts Rick Cook and Jon Tapper, the two Chinook pilots wrongly convicted of negligence following the crash over the Mull of Kintyre in 1994. All 27 on board were killed and included a number of high-ranking civil servants and military personnel. In April 2001 the House of Lords voted to convene a Select Committee to investigate the crash. The inquiry was published on 31st January 2002 and found that the charge of negligence against the two pilots was wholly unjustified. To date no response has been received from the Ministry of Defence or the RAF.
